What if Toronto Disappeared?

What if Toronto disappeared? What if every person in Toronto disappeared? Would you know? Would you care? Would you try to prevent Montreal and Vancouver from disappearing too?

What if Union Station was completely empty? What if every person in a subway, bus, and train in Toronto disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if Dundas Square was completely empty? What if every person in every corner of Toronto disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if the Eaton Center was completely empty? What if every shopper in every mall in Toronto disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if the University of Toronto was completely empty? What if every student in every school of Toronto disappeared? What if every student in kindergarten, grade school, high school, college and university disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if the 401 was completely empty? What if every person in every highway and every street in Toronto disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if Grace Fellowship Church was completely empty? What if every person at every church in Toronto disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if Jamie Bell Adventure Park was completely empty? What if every child at every playground in Toronto disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if the Greater Toronto Area disappeared too? What if Mississauga disappeared? What if every street, every building, every home in Mississauga was completely empty? What if every person in Mississauga disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

What if my city disappeared too? What if Brampton disappeared? What if every street, every building, every home in Brampton was completely empty? What if every person in Brampton disappeared? Would you know? Would you care?

Imagine so many lives, so many names, so many sons, so many daughters, so many neighbours disappearing. Imagine our country losing so many innocent people so senselessly. Imagine all of Canada losing all its people in Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton. Imagine Canada losing 4 million people.

Except, you don’t have to imagine it. It’s already happened.

This week marks the 50th anniversary of the week abortion became legal in Canada. And since then, 4 million Canadians have dissapeared. Do you know that? Do you care?

But abortion doesn’t make unplanned pregnanies disappear. Abortion doesn’t make problems dissapear. Abortion doesn’t make people disappear. Abortion kills babies. Abortion kills innocent people. Abortion decapitates and disembowells little babies.

When you think about what abortion has done to Canada, when you think about the number of babies killed by abortion, when you think about all the people we’ve lost since abortion became legal in Canada, think about Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton disappearing.

In Canada, abortion has killed more babies than the entire population of Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton combined. Abortion has killed over 4 million people in Canada since it became legal in our country 50 years ago.

What will the next 50 years look like? How many more neighbours are we going to lose because of abortion over the next 50 years? I don’t know. But I care.

I want to prevent more people from disappearing. I do not want another 4 million people in our country disappearing over the next 50 years. I am committed to doing my part to help make abortion unthinkable in Canada. And I think you should consider doing the same.
